Houston Texans Turkey Thanksgiving Football Shirt

Houston Texans Turkey Shirt With a Helmet and Football Feathers

The turkey on this shirt skipped the pilgrim hat and went straight for a football helmet, and honestly it looks right at home. Its tail is a fan of footballs in deep navy and Texans red, and one more ball is tucked against its chest with the team logo printed right on it. Our Houston Texans Turkey Thanksgiving Football Shirt is made for the relative who has already claimed the best spot on the couch for the afternoon game but still wanders into the kitchen to carry out the rolls.

Football Feathers and a Helmeted Turkey

We liked how the artwork keeps its sense of humor without getting loud, so the wide-eyed bird in its helmet, with orange feet planted firmly, stands in front of a tail of laced footballs that actually reads as feathers from across the room. It gets a laugh from the little cousins and a nod from the uncle who has followed the Texans since the very first season. Kids love it.

Navy and Red Tail Feathers at a Houston Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in Houston tends to stretch out, with relatives arriving in waves, a turkey fryer going in the driveway, and the game murmuring from a TV somebody carried outside. A shirt like this slides into that day easily, and at TeeMam, where we put together sports fan apparel meant to be worn with family and friends rather than only from a stadium seat, this design was picked with that long afternoon in mind. It also holds up at a potluck with coworkers or on a Friday-after-Thanksgiving trip to return a few things, since the team spirit is there without shouting.

Fans tend to pull a shirt like this out again for December games, a friend’s watch party, or a slow evening at home with leftovers, which is part of why it makes such a friendly gift for a Texans fan. It’s an easy one to wear. If somebody in your house roots for Houston, this turkey is a good one to set aside for the holiday weekend and hand over before the pie comes out.
